I’m Madison, a San Diego native and a senior journalism major at SDSU. A lover of human interest stories and creativity, I am also the Editor-in-Chief of The Look Magazine, current intern for The San Diego Sun and a previous intern for The San Diego Union-Tribune. Central to my work is the idea that everyone and everywhere has a story to be told.

Brittany Cruz-Fejeran is a senior journalism student with a minor in history. She transferred from Southwestern College where she served as editor-in-chief for the 2019-2020 school year. She worked at The Daily Aztec as the photo editor and is currently a staff writer and photographer with the publication. She has bylines with CalMatters, inewsource, the San Diego Union-Tribune and Voice of San Diego. Cruz-Fejeran wants to cover stories regarding Pacific Islander Indigenous populations.

My name is Paula Guenon. I am a transfer student from Grossmont College and majoring in Journalism/Media Studies. In my second career I want to use my experience and academic knowledge to work with non-profit organizations.

Peggy Peattie, PhD, teaches photojournalism and solutions journalism at SDSU. Her 40-year
career as a photojournalist has primarily focused on social and environmental justice issues.

Kaitlyn Donivan is a graduating senior studying journalism. She is a founding member and
writer for Amor Magazine. During her time at The Daily Aztec, she was a production assistant
for the DA’s web series “Basement Beats.” Donivan has also run the San Diego-based food blog
Green Out Of 10 since 2021.

Serena Neumeyer is a fourth-year honors student studying journalism at SDSU. Outside of her studies, she is involved with The Daily Aztec as a staff writer and social media editor on the 2022-2023 editorial board. She led the first multimedia team from SDSU to cover the Rolling Loud music festival where she realized her passion for broadcast journalism. For her contributions as a student journalist, she was recognized by the San Diego Press Club Foundation with the Frank Saldana Memorial Scholarship.

Mariana Lamas is a fourth-year journalism student with an advertising emphasis. She is native to San Diego and loves traveling. She has been part of organizations such as the American Marketing Association, Women in Business, and the Advertising Club at SDSU.

I am Gabriel Schneider, a student at SDSU working towards a major in journalism and Spanish. I am a past Editor-in-Chief of The Daily Aztec newspaper and have interned with Voice of San Diego. Before school, I spent four years in the Marine Corps.

Madison McGill is a fourth-year journalism student at SDSU. Currently, she is a staff writer for the campus newspaper, The Daily Aztec, and an editorial intern for an online magazine called Vanity Stories. Madison has written about arts and culture, news and opinion topics, and she is determined to keep growing and learning with every published work.
