Awaken Presents NIGHT OF CHRISTMAS

Fri, Dec. 1 at 4:00 and 7:30 p.m. and Sat, Dec. 2 at 4:00 and 7:30 p.m.

Featuring classic Christmas carols, this nighttime event includes fireworks and aerialists along with Symphony musicians.
 

The Airborne Toxic Event

Fri, Dec. 8 at 8:00 p.m.

Rock, electronic and classical music will all blend together for one night at the Rady Shell. The Airborne Toxic Event rose in popularity after their song “Sometime Around Midnight” spent eight weeks at #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart.
 

Disney & Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas In Concert

Sat, Dec. 23 at 6:00 p.m.

What’s this? The Symphony and Jack Skellington will fill the San Diego Bay with Danny Elfman’s classic score from the 1993 film.

The Belly Up

A John Waters Christmas

Mon, Dec. 4 at 7:00 p.m.

Off-the-wall filmmaker John Waters will feature a medley of Christmas tunes accompanied by celebrity blow-up dolls and irreverent humor. Not for the faint of heart.

Music Box

Western Standard Time Ska Orchestra

Wed, Dec. 13 at 8:00 p.m.

A 20-piece musical group featuring horns for that classic Ska sound.

California Center for the Arts, Escondido

The Nutcracker - City Ballet of San Diego 

Dec. 21 – Dec. 23

This traditional Christmas story is a yearly staple of the Center for the Arts. Featuring the memorable score by Tchaikovsky.

Dr. Seuss’s How the Grinch Stole Christmas!

Based on the beloved animated film, this stage adaptation features all the songs you know and love.

The Glass Menagerie

Tennessee Williams’ memory play will be shown on the Diversionary stage for the very first time. “The mother of queer classics.”

La Jolla Playhouse

Babbit

Nov. 7 – Dec. 10

Matthew Broderick and Tony Award-winning playwright Joe DiPietro come together for this adaptation of the Sinclair Lewis novel. The production has been extended due to popular demand.

Cygnet Theatre

A Christmas Carol

Dec. 1 – Dec. 30

This holiday classic will see its 8th season. The tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and his haunting Christmas ghosts is accompanied by an original score by Billy Thompson.

San Diego Civic Theatre

An Evening With Sir Patrick Stewart

Thur, Dec. 7 at 7:00 p.m.

The beloved actor will be discussing tales from his career both on screen and on stage. Based on his new memoir, “Making It So.”

This new Broadway revival of the Tony Award-nominated show comes to San Diego. Based on “The Wizard of Oz,” this musical adaptation features soul, rock, gospel, and funk.

With a sound that defined the 80s and 90s, Depeche Mode continues to play to fans of all ages. The band has sold over 100 million albums over the years.
